Fundraising Coffee Morning

Books were bought, quizzes were cogitated over,  plants were sold, coffee was drunk and the sun shone on our Norfolk Reading Project Coffee Morning on May 24th. Volunteers enjoyed the chance to get together and over £615 was raised.

A huge thanks goes to all those who made cakes, potted up their precious plants for sale, served tea and coffee and washed up.

It costs about £50 to train each volunteer and so this money will be put to very good use. The money goes largely on room hire, DBS checks, starter packs and decodable books.

Our schools are so grateful for the service the Norfolk Reading Project volunteers provide and say it can be truly life-changing for the children they help. Please spread the word because new volunteers are always needed.
